Dr. Withers and Mr. Casper Hoerner, while out shooting on the Withers ranch, on the Leona, yesterday, found a peculiar round pebble in a newly ploughed field, unlike anything they had ever seen. They brought it to the city and submitted it to Dr. Menger, who is authority on geology, and he has pronounced it of meteoric origin. It is of a chocolate brown color, very heavy for its size and contains flakes of crystal. It is not magnetic.
