Arrangements are being made for the erection of a statue of Wm. H. Seward in Central park. The park commissioners, in reply to the petition of Dr. Osgood and others for a site for a statue of Elias Howe, have resolved that statues of any person cannot be erected there till five years after the death of the subject.
