Every one should remember that the big show comes off Sept. 20, 21 and 22.

Those are the dates fixed for the Fergus county fair, and it is now certain that it will be the biggest kind of a success.

Fourteen men are now at work fixing up the grounds and buildings, and getting the race track in the best possible shape. This latter task will be an easy one, as the track is in condition for racing right now, being as smooth as a billiard table. When the workmen has finished it off and settled all the dust, it will be lightning fast, and if the local records are not smashed, it will be the fault of the nags and not of the track.

The Cowboys' Relay Race.

The cowboys' relay race is still attracting attention all over the county, and the entries are now beginning to come in, much to the satisfaction of those in charge of this part of the program, because it will be necessary for them to know some time in advance how many horses will have to be handled. The entries so far are Deputy Sheriff Ed. Silverthorne, of this city, John Biglen, who is widely known as a skillful and daring rider, and Bill Lorimer, who can call out all the speed there is in any kind of a horse.
